About

Artist Background

Christina is an artist and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. She studied Communications and Studio Art at New York University, and worked in advertising as an Art Director after graduation. Interested in shifting her career to traditional arts and connecting with others, she obtained her Master's in Creativity Development and Art Therapy from Pratt Institute in 2015.

Her personal artworks are representational and minimal, exploring themes of wilderness and migration. She enjoys using meditative mediums like watercolor to capture the inherent beauty in people, animals and landscapes.

Christina has taught children, teens, adults in public schools, hospitals, community centers, private studios and art museums around New York City.

Educator Mission

Christina's passion is in creating accessible art programs that can engage all audiences, regardless of age, race or ability. She believes that art is a fundamental form of human expression, and is dedicated to empowering others in finding their voice and expression through visual arts. 

She emphasizes personal growth in her art lessons, teaching students to trust their instincts and value their voice and use art as a form of activism for their community. A confident artist and visual communicator will also be a strong, mindful individual in life.
